The Angel

Brianna was an angel for Holloween this year. She had a very good time. She said, "Trick or Treat." She also said, "Thank You." That was much better than the "smell my feet" she practiced in the car. Shawntea, Brianna, and Papa went to his old neighborhood and Papa saw a lot of his old neighbors. He even handed out candy at on of their homes so the neighbor could take a restroom break. We came home and eat MamaBeth's chili and fresh baked bread. It was a fun night and now Papa will take a nap.

  1. She also said if some "tricker" came to our door she would "treat them." Halloween is much more fun with kids around.

  2. Yes it is! More fun.

We sat on our porch with Nephew Rob, Neighbors Jeff and Erica, ate pizza, salad, popcorn, and assailed the kids with candy. Some were cute. We mocked the adults. Life is good.

  3. I especially enjoyed the "tricker" who was full grown adult (maybe in her late 30's?), no costume, who held out her bag for me. When I said, "And who are you trick-or-treating for?" She replied, "Me...oh, that's OK -- you can give the candy to the kids." Closed her bag and went back down the side walk.

  4. I usually tell such "trickers" to "Get a job!"
