What's in your pool?

Friends of ours found this in their pool on Monday.

Our friend Jeff came over yesterday afternoon saying that our friends were on channel 7 and we should turn on the TV. We did, but never saw this story on TV. This photo is from the front page of today's Whittier Daily News.
DRIVER RESCUED: Emergency personnel remove a Ford Taurus from a pool at a home at Edmaru Avenue and Mar Vista Street in Whittier on Monday. The elderly resident of a nearby home lost control of her car and plunged into the pool after knocking down a brick wall. (Bernardo Alps / Staff Photo)

  1. Wild! Can't believe it. It was Columbus Day and both Debi and Jaime had the day off, so they were home to help the driver. Jaime jumped into the pool and got her out of the car. Crazy! I guess it is easier to get a yellow lab or a deer out of one's pool.

  2. I had the TV on and saw Jaimie and Debi interviewed. They didn't want their names mentioned but I was sure it was them. Went and looked up their address and then was pretty sure. The car doen't even look dented in the front. WOW.

  3. Yes, I'm sure it is much easier to remove deer and yellow labs from a pool than cars. Hope the worst damage was to the fence and not the driver.
