I think it is mch better said..."When a cyslist has the privilege of dining with his (her) beloved family...and they put up with his (her) nonsense...Those bicycle saddles are not, in my experience, conducive to a leisurely family dinner. No wonder they ride so fast...Anything to get off the bike!:-)
