Snow

I (Beth) drove home from Santa Rosa last night so I could keep an 8:15 A.M. Dr. appt. today. It wasn't snowing then but it started around 8:00 P.M. It hasn't snowed here for a few years so it was a very pleasant surprise...until driving on the ice this morning to my appointment:-)

  1. I am always jealous of places where it snows. Never jealous of the ice. Enjoyed the photo.

  2. yes, it is clearly undeniable, that the lack of snow over the last few years is divine retribution for rob leaving the area.

p.s.-why is beth blogging under the guise of steve? curious...

  3. That is kind of curious. I am just guessing that it is a matter of remembering ones user name and password. Or, just being too lazy to click on those words there that say "you can sign in as a different user."

But, clearly it is better than lurking and not publishing at all. Ouch!

  4. Or Steve is down loading the picture and asks you to write the comment.

  5. Calling me "lazy" and asking me to pass judgement on your personal charactersitics all in the same breath (as I did in my PFTs/pulmonary function test this morning)?! Oh, dear brother, what hast thou wrought?

Not lurking, just telling it as it is...

  6. no accusations here--obviously not a lurker in the bunch. Lurkers are those who read and don't comment at all. They are the ones who read and then talk about it to me later. And no one here is lazy, purely a hypothetical. Clearly everyone here, at the end of the day, has demonstrated their "non-laziness" by posting.

Now a PFT/pulmonary function. That sounds like a topic for a post or a phone call.

Oh, dear sister, not to have wrought nothing. Am I just burying myself deeper?

  7. dear pugnacious uncle and mother, hast not thou wrought thine wroughtiness... wait, what?

  8. Pugnacious, eh? That was not a choice on the Johari Window page. It would probably show up under Known to Others for most of us:-)

  9. I didn't realize that you had not had snow in that long a time. Who is providing our water here in Southern California if you don't get the snow up there.

I love the pictures but not the driving on it. Have had pictures from Cindy Smith of the ice storm they had and all the branches down including the one that landed on their roof. Didn't do too much damage for which they were thankful.

Also enjoyed the T shirt on Steve, Anxious to see Glen and Cindi in theirs.

  10. pugnacious? where's my dictionary. Can't we use more avuncular words here so the avuncular one can understand!?!?!

  11. What, exactly, would qualify as an "avuncular" word? Uncle, tio...?

  12. Well, if this is the definition:

    a·vun·cu·lar adj
    1. resembling an uncle, especially one who is friendly, helpful, or good-humored
    2. relating to or deriving from an uncle (formal or humorous)

Then one should only use words that one's uncle can easily understand!

  13. Oh, yes. The word in question:

    pug·na·cious adj
inclined to fight or be aggressive

Clearly not me. I am the #2 definition of avuncular!
