Great Grandma Sarah and Great Grandpa Johan

This is a picture of Hilding Peterson's parents, Sarah and Johan Pettersson. Not sure of the date. I got this from Teresa Theodore, Henning Peterson's granddaughter. It was on her geneology.com website. I have e-mailed her asking if she has updated info on the family in Sweden for me to use on my trip.

  1. I have a remarkable resemblance to Sarah!

  2. Might be because you wear the same dress.

  3. I keep looking for a resemblance to myself in pictures from both sides of the family. Don't see it, aside from the obvious fact that we all keep "carbing up" for that next marathon...these people at least had an excuse...a lifetime of eating to sustain themselves through the lean years of farming, surviving the flu pandemic in 1917 (2916?), a lifetime of eating habits that only caught up to them in their "old age." I know David resembled Uncle Glen from the first few minutes of birth, Rob and my dad's pictures from around the age of 2 years look as if they were twins, Andrew and Daniel looked very similar at the same age, though Mom and I looked at and compared noses between me and my kids a few years ago while at breakfast on Christmas Eve, no resemblance amongst us, no resemblance to anyone else we knew. Interesting stuff, genetics. Maybe we were ALL switched at birth. That would explain a lot for me...;-)

  4. No resemblance to me either. Even the last name has been changed to protect the innocent?
