Fabian Cancellara won the Tour of California prologue in Sacramento today. It was 2.4 miles, and he averaged 31.25 miles per hour. Levi Leipheimer, the blog owners' favorite, was just 1 second behind. Expect him to be the overall winner in a week.
Many of the world's top professionals were there and did well. It's odd to see Lance Armstrong in tenth place, 4 seconds behind.
That's about all I know.
I think Lance is in a good spot. Fabian will have to defend his first place today from Davis to Santa Rosa. Lance will be able to maintain his position or even move up. Also, Lance is wearing #2 to Levi's #1 and has stated that he is here to make Levi the GC winner. We'll see.
