The deal on Clif Bar

I can't fugure out why my grocery store can't sell Clif Bars in a box for a good price. Ralph's single bar price is $1.35 each. Amazon.com has them for $9.49 in a box of 12. And, if you purchase $25 or more of merchandise, you get free shipping.

Then, I have to buy Purefit bars and Coach's steel cut oats online.

I have an idea: someone should build a shelter in people's neighborhoods, they could buy all this food, have it shipped to this central location, and people could come and buy it conveniently when they need it. What do you think? Original?

  4. When society went from an agrarian society into the industrial age, grocery stores became the regular place that people, who were moving from farms into urban centers, went to buy foodstuffs. Instead of growing their own food in their gardens and butchering livestock they went to their local grocer for their food. So my proposed idea on invetning a shelter in neighborhoods has already been done. The real question is whether this method of gather food is now outdated and will be replaced with commerce online.

  5. And all I was trying to do was edit my own lack of a question mark...Wasn't there a request from the Blogmaster not to edit other's keyboarding errors?:-)

I really did have a question. What is a Clif Bar? Why would you purchase and eat one? So many bar-type helath supplements out there now. I still haven't tried the Advantage Bar Audrey gave me in Hawaii 'cause of a bad experience with one of those types of foods a month or so ago.

  6. Your point about the blogmaster's proscription of pointing out the errors of others posts and comments is well stated and appreciated by that blogmaster of PWWCR fame.

I agree that many of those food bars range from nasty to mediocre at best. I have noticed that the Peanut Crunch flavor is actually good in my opinion. I also like the Almond and Peanut Purefit Bars. It is nice to have a convenient snack to pull off the shelf and take on a bicycle ride. Compared to others, Clif Bars have less sugar, balanced with carbs and protein. So that's why I like them. And, I do not know why Clif only had one f in his name.
