What a day for the Tour de France. Not matter what happens over the next three days I will never forget Landis' ride today. An amazing effort against a very talented and motivated field. What a tour this year.
Also the Tour of California listed the basic routes for 2007. I am going to volunteer for several of the stages. Next year there will be a stage ending in Sacramento. No Landis due to surgery, but lots of others to watch.
What a day.
U N B E L I E V A B L E ! This was worth going late to work. I agree with Bob Roll who said it was the biggest day for Tour de France in history. What an amazing man--broken hip, dead femur ball joint, no team--did you see the team car pacing him all along the way feeding him, watering him--constant cold shower. I am looking forward to seeing more tonight.
ReplyDeleteLet's try to volunteer at some of the same spots on TofC in 2007. I'll go check out the schedule.
BTW, I didn't recognize your voice or Beth's either when I called the other day. Hope to talk to you soon.
We have a sign above the TV..."Landis Lives!" Yesterday was a low, a bonk, a preface to making today more cycling emotion than I could barely endure. So exciting. Looking forward to helping with T of C, too.
ReplyDeleteGo, Floyd, go! This has been an exciting tour, too. I'm really enjoying it.
ReplyDeleteAnd the last city in the ToCalifornia is in Long Beach!
ReplyDeleteGo Floyd!
