World Cup Action
U-S-A...U-S-A...! Hope you were all watching when Team USA won their World Cup match today and moved on to the next level. It was a goal by Donovan at the 90 +2 min. point in the match against Algeria. So next week it will be USA in the World Cup AND the Tour de France begins. (Almost late getting Steve to his post-op check with his opthamologist with all this excitement!) See you all next week!

Do you have your final travel dates?
Surgery (to remove a cataract) went fine. Brianna, Debbie and I will leave Monday and leave the next Monday, spending one night in Avila Beach to meet up with Brianna's 2nd grade teacher, on the way back. Tuesday we will be driving to San Diego so Debbie can see her son Sean. Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday we will be driving to Barstow to see George and Pat, former Cullen St. neighbors, for lunch. Open for anything else on any other day. Cindi suggested La Mirada Regional Park for a picnic after Brianna goes to the water park there on Friday. I also wanted to go to the California Science Center in Exposition Park (FREE!) and the beach.

ReplyDeleteRE: Your visit -- About the picnic near the water park...that was for SATURDAY, July 3 (not Friday) with fireworks after dark. There is a little community festival in the park that day/evening, too.
