  1. OK, then, your look like something. Is it hamburger?

There's got to be some good story behind this. Did it have to do with a snake????

Mustache looks good too. Must be that wax you are using.

  3. I'm speechless. No chipped teeth? Did you avoid cinders? Please tell me you avoided cinders...black poppy seed size-looking stones like gravel. When I fell on my bike as a child, the cinders often had to be cleaned out...that was the worst. Were you relieved your injuries weren't worse? Looks like it was a terrible tumble. Did you black out? Did you ride home? I am spooked by this picture. Maybe your mom's paramedics should stop by here next.

  4. Did you get jumped into a gang? [I used to work in that kind of a neighborhood.]

  5. it really wasn't as gnarly as it looked. all that happened was i was minding my own business with both hands on the handlbars, while yielding to furry woodland creatures, when completely unprovoked, a mountain lion, a black bear, and ann coulter all jumped out of the bushes at me. i escaped with mere abrasions on my shoulder, elbow and face, nothing below the equator. but the verbal attacks from ann coulter will hurt forever.

  6. I believe the coulter part. Give me a bear or lion anytime, but keep her away.... far away... something about an anne...

  7. Very funny. Coulter deserves these types of comments. Did she look rabid?

  8. I am thinking that the tetanus shot is a really good idea--thanks for suggesting it grandma Pete!

This is from the Wikipedia online:

"Tetanus is a serious and often fatal disease caused by the neurotoxin tetanospasmin which is produced by the Gram-positive, obligate anaerobic bacterium Clostridium tetani. Infection usually originates from a contaminated wound, often a cut or deep puncture wound. Common symptoms are muscle spasms in the jaw (hence the common name lockjaw), followed by difficulty swallowing and general muscle stiffness in other parts of the body. Infection can be prevented by proper immunization, as well as by post-exposure prophylaxis.

"Tetanus is a global health problem since Clostridium tetani spores are ubiquitous. The disease occurs almost exclusively in persons who are unvaccinated or inadequately immunized. Tetanus occurs worldwide but is more common in hot, damp climates with soil rich in organic matter. Tetanus, particularly the neonatal form, remains a significant public health problem in non-industrialized countries, causing an estimated 300,000 to 500,000 deaths each year."

  9. Thanks Glen for that information. I would have said the same thing if only I'd thought of it.
